In 1972, Cascadian Farm started farming organically on a few acres of pristine land in the Upper Skagit Valley of Washington's North Cascade Mountains.Soon, with the help of a small group of dedicated supporters, Cascadian Farm became a thriving organic food company, preserving and selling the bounty of our harvests as jams, frozen fruits and vegetables.Cascadian Farm grew organically, starting at local farm stands, then regional farmers' markets like Pike Place in Seattle, and finally natural food stores along the West Coast. By the late 1980s, demand for Cascadian Farm products had grown so much that they began partnering with other organic growers in the Pacific Northwest just to keep up. As time went on, Cascadian Farm worked hard to recruit and train hundreds of organic growers around the nation and the world, ensuring their products would include only the finest organic ingredients.
