Founded in 1984 by Elliot P. Gibber, Deb-El Foods was designed to be the most modern egg drying plant in the world. From 1984 through 1993, the company’s sole business was the manufacturing and domestic and export selling of a complete line of dried egg products to the commercial food industry. While continuing to grow and diversify, Deb-El Foods remains one of the largest and most modern egg drying facilities in the world.
Ten years later, in 1994, Gibber added a line of liquid and frozen egg products, ideal for bakeries and food manufacturers.
That same year, Deb-El began to produce and distribute the company’s first retail product --- Just Whites --- under the Deb-El company name. With this entry into the specialty food industry, other products followed including Scramblettes, Whole Eggs, and the Island Blaze line of Hearts of Palm.
